Under The Sky Poem

Under The Sky

Poem by Saad

'Under The Sky' is an allegory poem which describes how often a human being forgets the favors of his Lord. His actions ruin him but his God is always waiting for him to come to Him and see how merciful and beneficent He has been to him.

I wandered on roads in a lonely summer night.

While a leaf shattered by breeze, fell to my right.

It had stayed long on a tall poplar tree.

Under the sky which stood rooted firmly.

I walked with the stars deemed in my sight

for there were few to see that kept the sky alight.

My world was ruined and I was under grief.

and I turned to sky then saw back the leaf.

I was filled with guilt yet I hoped.

I was torn by time yet I roved.

I felt cold while thinking what was my fate.

The silence was broken as someone opened a gate.

With a step out someone peeked to see.

So I wiped the tear quickly, who it could be?

"We were always waiting where had you been?"

I was home but it felt from ages I had not seen.

My loved ones had been there, always always nigh.

I was the fool who roamed all night under the sky.
